Pseudo Fossils are natural objects that resemble fossils, but are not fossils. Some concretions and minerals are often mistaken for fossil.

A good example of a pseudo fossil is manganese oxide in the form of a dendrite. These look like like moss or plant fossils.

Also flint concretions and are often mistaken for fossil bones. Concretions can contain fossils on the inside though.

Also sedimentary structures such as cracks or traces of rain drops can sometimes be mistaken as fossil skin.
