Location description

In a quarry near Dudar fossils are found from the Lutetian, Eocene (part of the Paleogene period). In the surrounding area there are several more quarries. The collecting possibilities here are unknown.

Dudar is located in the north of Hungary, west of Budapest. The locality is located about 4 km. north of Dudar.

Very large foraminifers (Nummulites up to 7 cm.) and gastropods.

    We bezochten op 30 mei 2014 de aangeduide plaats op de kaart. (N 47°20\'13,7\" O 17°56\'14,21\"). Hier bevindt zich een stortplaats van afval: betonafval, bakstenen, asfaltmateriaal en ook resten van bauxietafval. Er zijn geen fossielen te vinden. In de bauxietgroeve op 2,8 km zuidelijker is ook nauwelijks iets te vinden.
